Which? product tests are impartial and very thorough. They have tested the 190 mobile phones for call reception, sound and camera quality, ease of use and battery life.  To test the ease of use of each phone, a panel of testers will conduct everyday phone tasks such as making a call, retrieving texts, checking missed calls, and storing contacts and take details notes on each task. A score will then be allocated accordingly. Battery life as well as the amount of time to charge and the low battery warnings is assessed as is the quality of the music player on the phone though testing with a variety of musical sources and the phone camera is reviewed by taking a number of pictures in different light conditions. Once all of these tests have been completed, a score is then collated for each individual phone.
