Which? product tests are impartial and very thorough. They have tested the 88 toasters for the evenness of browning when toasting by using a standard white supermarket loaf – three with fresh bread and three with frozen bread. Templates that are shaped to the various different sizes of bread available are used to see if the toaster can fit particularly large slices in, the safety of the model is assessed such as how hot the casing get whilst toasting and the various different toasting options are tried and reviewed for ease of use.
