Which? also provide an online price comparison service for each microwave oven reviewed so you will be sure to buy at the best price available online.
Which? product tests are impartial and very thorough. They have tested the 71 microwaves for the evenness of how food is cooked. To do so they use a test substance known as TX151 this acts as a food substitute. The defrosting facilities are tested by defrosting a block of lean mince and checking for hot or cold spots throughout the meat once defrosted to determine whether the meat was defrosted evenly. Which? check for any radiation leaks from the microwaves whilst in use and review the various microwaves’ different settings and features. The results are then collated and scores are produced.
